![]() There you'll Encounter the Guy who needs to be killed twice but with blessed weapon you'll make short work with him. Loot him and go Up the stairs where the Illusory Wall was. Run left and down from the Carthus Bonfire (If you have 40 Stamina you outrun the Ball) Go left again and buff with blessed weapon and coin behind the pillar where the First Carthus Ninja is. A total of 375 without coin and 425 with. ![]() So here is my strategy: I use a Heavy Infused Great Mace, Blessed weapon (miracle), rusted coin, Crystal Sages Rapier, Symbol of Avarice, 10 Luck. Good luck.Įither I got really lucky or the Cathus Ninja (near the Ashes, the one with white eyes who needs to be killed twice unless you use blessed damage) drops these quite often. The drop rate is still awful, but you can rest assured that you're killing as many as possible to increase your odds. Then use the Coiled Sword Fragment or Homeward Bone to go back to the bonfire and repeat. Head down the cave to your right and the 8th and final Carthus Skeleton is located at the end. Then run down the stairs and kill the 7th Carthus Skeleton. Kill it once then pop a second Rusted Coin, then kill it again when it respawns. Proceed down the hallway to find the 6th Carthus Skeleton which also needs to be killed twice (unless you have a Blessed weapon). Kill the 4th and 5th Carthus Skeletons here (one is an archer) and your Rusted Coin effect should be ending any second. After killing these 3, jump down to the floor below and dash to the first set of stairs where the skeleton that controls the rolling ball is located. The 1st and 2nd Carthus Skeletons are just outside the hallway, and the 3rd is a bit further down and needs to be killed twice (unless you have a Blessed weapon). The coin lasts 60 seconds which is just long enough to kill the first 5 skeletons. As soon as you enter the hallway just after the skeleton ball, pop a Rusted Coin. Starting from the bonfire, turn right and roll through the skeleton ball. This item is not able to be given to other players.įrom the Catacombs of Carthus bonfire, it takes ~2 minutes (in first play-through/ng+) to take out all 8 of the Carthus Skeletons in the area. One may be offered to Pickle Pee, Pump-a-Rum Crow to receive the Lucatiel Mask once per playthrough. You may offer these in mutliples of 10 by pressing LB - 10 and +10 RB.Set a password so only they can summon you, and farm away. They don't even have to be near your level. They do not need to have their Ember to summon you, and if they stay near a bonfire they will have no risk of losing any souls they may have. A cheesy way to farm Vertebra Shackles is to get a friend to summon you via the Red Sign Soapstone and allow you to kill them repeatedly while you are a Mound-Maker.You can also earn one by dealing the killing blow to a mad dark spirit as a phantom.(There may be more ways to earn as a phantom, this is the only one I have experienced). You can also earn one by defeating a Mound-Maker as a defending Blade of the Darkmoon, alongside the normal Proof of a Concord Kept. This does not apply if the invading Mound-Maker invaded by means of White Sign Soapstone.Defeating an invading Mound-Maker as a Host of Embers will reward you with a Vertebra Shackle. You will earn a Vertebra Shackle after you fulfill your duty when invading as a mad dark spirit (by killing the host of embers or by killing enough phantoms).Simply run back to the bonfire, rinse and repeat. Run past the rolling skeleton ball and pull the two Gravewarden skeletons into the path of the returning ball. Equip the Crystal Sage Rapier, Symbol of Avarice and switch to a luck build. Addendum: A good place to farm these offline is just outside and to the right of the first Catacombs of Carthus Bonfire. ![]() ![]()
